Decent gear, helpful support
My order from Kathmandu included a pair of hiking boots and some merino wool base layers. The ordering process on the website was pretty straightforward, no issues there. Shipping took about a week to get to Perth, which felt reasonable. When the boots arrived, one of them had a small scuff, so I reached out to customer service. They were quick to respond and offered a return or a partial refund, which I appreciated. I opted for the refund as the scuff wasn't that big of a deal in the end. The base layers are really comfortable and have held up well after a few washes. The hiking boots fit true to size and have been good on my local trails. It's nice to know their support team is responsive if something goes wrong.
Got a rain jacket, it's good
Needed a new rain jacket for a trip. Found one on Kathmandu's site, a pretty standard looking one. It arrived in about 6 days which was fine. Wore it out in some light rain last weekend and it kept me dry, so that's good. The fit was also what I expected from the size chart. No complaints really, just a good rain jacket that does what it's supposed to.
Good jacket, slow shipping
I ordered an Epiq Down Jacket from Kathmandu online. The jacket itself is really good quality and super warm, exactly what I expected. The price was fair for a good down jacket. My only real complaint is that the shipping took a bit longer than I thought it would, about 8 days to reach me in Adelaide. It wasn't a huge deal, but I was hoping for it to arrive a little quicker. Overall, a solid purchase, but they could probably improve on delivery times.
